The Wonder that is Goluji.

7 New free 24*7 Ambulances inaugurated on Tuesday (12th July) for districts of Shahdol, Anuppur, and Umariya. We now have 123 such ambulances in MP in most poor blocks of the state, and, to best of my knowledge, the biggest such free service-provider in whole of the country. In the photo frame is Goluji Golu Aske , our grassroots champion Sevavratee. I happened to meet Goluji serendipitously in an interior village 5 years back, where he was then keeping a shop, and upon hearing of our work he presented himself as a worker rightaway. He has since then been the primary driver of our work in almost a dozen districts in MP. He has since then kept no permanent base and usually stays with unknown villagers wherever he goes, whom he has a knack of befriending through some magical formula which I have never been able to figure out.

We have our overall program coverage in 35 districts of MP now, and ambulance program in 23 districts.

PS.: I must inquire of what has become of Goluji’s shop, the memory of which has returned to me just now while writing rhis post.
